By 2025, this city could completely run out of water.

What is going on in Pakistan? 🤨
Pakistan is currently facing a water crisis due to several factors like an increase in population in urban areas, agriculture, mismanagement of the water system and climate change.
By 2025, Pakistan could dry out and become absolutely scarce of water.😩😥
What does this mean for them?
Little to no clean water for its people...😣 To them, water is as precious as gold.
⚠️❗️The impact of the water crisis in Pakistan has already surfaced among the people.
80% of people living in 24 major cities in Pakistan do not have access to clean water. In slums, 16 million do not have access ❌ to running water. Many people are dependent on water trucks that only come once a week to collect water to survive. Often, the water collected is not enough ☹️, giving rise to distress amongst people. Furthermore, criminal gangs, known as the tanker mafias, are stealing clean water supply from the pipes and selling it on the black market for a high price💰.
What did the government do? 🧐🏢
In 2018, the Pakistan government asked Pakistanis to help fund a $14 billion project to build two dams. The aim of the dam is to help Pakistan to store more water and to supply Pakistan with electricity.
No matter where you are in the world, don't forget that water is precious! Play your part and conserve water today 💧💙
